This handsome dude is Lem. He’s a ring-tailed lemur, and he likes to hang out with tour groups (one or more—he doesn’t mind whatever size).
He seems to suggest that the other Briefing links might be good. You can tell from his intent look at all three links.
You’ll never guess who has a secret crush on Lem …
Tour Book with 1-2-3?
No—We Aren’t Giving You a Map or 1-2-3 Tour Book.
This section would be waaay too long if we didn’t put it in 3 pages.
The moment we focus on a prescribed route for you, we risk telling you how to run your life or how to envision your Community.
Reimaginedoes not involve a tidy little formula.
No thanks. That’s not the way hearts and creativity work.
So we don’t want to do that to you. We are more like a tour book where you choose what to see. We want you to take our impressions and suggestions and Journey with those.
We are far closer to a Vlog on a tour with word pictures and images. We get into that … the Vlog of your imagination….
We are cool with diversions and exploring.
Your best creative solutions will come as you explore, without rushing, the creative space that is uniquely yours and unique to your Community.
Check out the link on Childlike or Childish for our background thinking on why we include some of the content and imagery we do.
We have a tremendous amount of confidence in the person inside the maze.
That’s you.
We believe that each person can discover inner resources of creativity and Community.
And, yes, you have a light with you.
It may not be what you first imagine it to be.
We know also that there are many teachings in religion and spirituality about light. Some embrace it. Others go bananas and freak out. As in un-Chill.
But we focus here us on your journey into creativity in—and in pursuit of—Community. We roll with Chill.
We would call it a “built-in” or innate creativity AND Community within you. The key, and the challenge, is to discover it.
When you are in the maze of life, and want to find Community, ways will open up for you. No door will open up for you if you pursue it half-heartedly. Ya’ gotta really want it!
Let’s talk about discovery on the canoe trip.
On the Road (or Lake)
“Where do you want to stop for lunch?“
It’s your journey—not ours.
Pause for a moment….
When you journey, on vacation without a demanding schedule, you pick a spot that catches your eye.
We won’t get into the three kids screaming in the back seat or Dad fainting from a lack of cheeseburgers.
Then there’s the family dog barking like crazy to go pee.
Of course, the family mutt wouldn’t go at the last rest stop. Yeah, we know—you even walked in circles and spun on your heels to give it a hint. Didn’t work … it just sniffed 213 bushes and whined for more water. You caved and gave the family mutt the rest of your mineral water.
The rest of the rest stop visitors will thank you for the amusement you provided.
Murphy’s Law of Bathroom and Bio-Breaks strikes again.
Work with 20 hours a week of overtime is looking relaxing compared to this circus.
So just pretend. Just humor us—okay?
Let’s just go to a fantasy place on a quiet lake in a canoe.
“There – on that beach over there.
That looks like a great spot!“
Impressions and Senses Matter
Yes, there were some practical things you discussed.
Like, “Where can we beach the canoe?”
Or, “Does it look like a nice beach to have a fire or picnic?”
You gathered together many feelings, thoughts, and impressions. Some conscious. Some subconscious. Some from discussions. Then you chose that nice little spot that was just perfect.
Perfect for you and, if a collective decision, at least for your group.
Skilled navigators are always helpful and a barrel of laughs….
That’s Mr. Reg-Roco driving. He goes by Reg or just Roco. Mrs. Reg-Roco is yawning at another one of his boring jokes (they’re pretty bad—nobody understands his jokes). She goes by Mrs. Reg-Roco. Only.
And that’s Baby BoBo Reg-Roco (he prefers BoBo) in the back. He’s looking for an ice cream stop. He plays a mean guitar and rap dances. He’s trying to figure out the moonwalk and other hip hop moves for midnight tours.
You have some very practical—difficult for some—decisions ahead of you.
Where to live.
What to do.
Will you and your family be okay?
